The Biggest Grift of All Time
Wow, America. Just wow. I'm very disappointed with you. I took a few days to think about the results of the election. I don't understand why the fascist won the popular vote for president. Maybe you are having a rough time. Maybe you can't find work. Maybe things are really expensive. The answer to any of life's problems is never going to be: Dictator.
People really think, "Things cost too much. I'm voting for the guy that will implement tariffs of 20 - 60%. That will make everything more expensive for me. That is the right answer to high prices for the American consumer."
I'm sorry, but... what? Do you actually think that Trump wants his rich "friends" to make less money off of you? Do you think that exporters pay the import tax? Importers pay the import tax. Countries don't pay any tariffs. Companies do. Do you think that they are going to eat that cost? Heck no. They will either increase prices or lay off workers.
Incoming presidents always inherit the economy of their predecessor. Bush messed things up (Great Recession). Obama fixed it. Trump took credit for Obama’s economy and then Trump messed things up again. Biden is on his way to fixing it. Inflation and unemployment are down. Prices need to come down still, but it is slowly happening. Biden and Harris were working on it. But now Trump is going to inherit Biden’s hard work and take credit for it again.
Trump is not on your side. He pulled off the biggest grift of all time. He went on a 4 year long presidential crime spree (don't forget all the rape and sexual assault too!) and people said, "I like the rapist. He is good for women. I like the fraudster. Sure, the president stole a ton of money from the American people, but he is on my side."
When Trump deports all of the people working our farms, will grocery prices get cheaper? Heck no. Supply will go down and demand will stay high.
I have bad news for everyone that didn't vote for Kamala due to her support of Israel's genocide. Trump is in favor of Palestinian genocide too. They both want it. He actually wants it more than she does. Your throw-away protest vote didn't teach the Dems a lesson. Your protest vote handed America to a dictator. Gaza is still fucked either way. Good job.
Let us not forget WHY Donald Trump ran for president this time. He didn't do it to help you. He didn't do it to heal America. He didn't do it out of any sense of duty or public service.
He is a convicted felon. He is facing prison time. He has not yet been tried for his other crimes. These would also add time to his prison sentence. Don't forget that he stole classified documents. Don't forget that he incited a violent coup to forcibly steal the government. Trump routinely works against the interests of the USA. He ran for president solely to make all of that go away. He conned you into making it happen. It worked. He has his get out of jail free card.
You voted against helping women, immigrants, LGBTQ people, the impoverished, the homeless, the unemployed, the elderly, public media, libraries, science, medicine, health, freedom of speech, freedom from religion, freedom of the press, freedom to gather for protest and the economy.
Frankly, it doesn't matter what your feelings are about any of these people and things. You are allowed to dislike all of them. Even if you want to hurt everybody, you still don't vote for the dictator. Unless you are one of his cronies, he will hurt you too. Nobody wins when an authoritarian strongman is in charge. Nobody.
